El Paso, TX – Two people were killed and two others injured following a two-vehicle collision in unincorporated El Paso County, Colorado, on Sunday afternoon, May 11, 2025, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The crash occurred around 1:08 p.m. near the intersection of Elbert Road and Murphy Road, approximately 25 miles northeast of Colorado Springs.
The incident involved a Ram 3500 pickup truck and a Chevrolet Suburban SUV. The driver of the Ram remained at the scene, and one of the truck’s passengers was transported to a hospital. Tragically, two occupants of the SUV died at the scene, while another was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities have closed the intersection for an extended period to allow for clean-up and a full investigation. As of Sunday evening, no reopening time had been announced, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
