El Paso, Texas — A fatal car accident in El Paso occurred early Thursday morning in northeast El Paso. The El Paso Police Department responded to the scene near Gateway North and Sean Haggerty Drive after the crash killed one person. Authorities continue investigating the fatal car accident in El Paso to determine what caused the collision.

The crash forced officials to close all lanes of Gateway North at Sean Haggerty Drive while emergency crews cleared the scene. Traffic resumed once the roadway reopened. Police have not released additional details about the victim or any factors that may have contributed to the accident.
