EL PASO, Texas – Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro P.C. is proud to announce that partner and nationally recognized trial attorney Daisy Chaparro has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), a prestigious honor extended to less than one-half of one percent of U.S. lawyers.

Chaparro is the only El Paso attorney and one of only six attorneys selected across Texas this year. She joins a distinguished group with just eight active LCA Fellows in El Paso.

Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only, extended to lawyers who have demonstrated excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, while upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. The honorary society maintains an exclusive fellowship limited to just 3,500 members nationwide and is recognized for its commitment to diversity and inclusion across all segments of the legal profession.

“It’s an incredible honor to be named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America,” said Chaparro. “To be recognized among some of the most accomplished litigators in the country reinforces the importance of the work we do every day to fight for justice and protect the rights of those who’ve been harmed. I’m proud to represent our community and committed to continuing that fight with integrity and purpose.”

A partner at Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro P.C., Chaparro is widely respected for her leadership and tactical insight in complex commercial trucking litigation. Licensed in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, and admitted to practice before federal courts including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, Chaparro has built a reputation as a relentless advocate for injury victims across the Southwest.

Her litigation accomplishments include multimillion-dollar settlements and verdicts in catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and workplace accident cases. Notable results include a $7 million settlement in a wrongful death case involving a child, a $4.7 million jury verdict in an oil tanker-truck collision, and several other commercial vehicle recoveries exceeding $1 million.

Chaparro’s courtroom success has earned her recognition in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Texas Rising Stars, Southwest Rising Stars, and Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyers. She was named Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the El Paso Bar Association and is a former president of both the El Paso County Trial Lawyers Association and the El Paso Young Lawyers Association.

In addition to her litigation practice, Chaparro is an active legal thought leader, frequently speaking and writing on topics such as trial strategy, injury litigation issues, and telematics in auto and trucking cases for organizations like the State Bar of Texas and Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
