Hala Abdel-Jaber

Hala Abdel-Jaber is an Associate Attorney at Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro P.C., where she represents clients across Texas and New Mexico in complex personal injury and civil litigation matters. Known for her meticulous preparation and persuasive advocacy, Hala handles cases with compassion and fierce advocacy for her clients.

Admitted to practice in Texas, New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas and the U.S. District Court of New Mexico, Hala is equipped to handle complex matters that span both state and federal courts.

Growing up in El Paso, Texas, as a first generation American and El Pasoan, she witnessed firsthand the importance of language, bridging cultural gaps and ensuring that every voice is heard. She has served in numerous organizations that shaped her passion for advocacy and representing the communities she belongs to. Fluent in English, Arabic and Spanish, she focuses on empowering all of her clients as they navigate the legal system.

Before joining Tawney, Acosta, Caparro, Hala practiced as a defense attorney, where she successfully tried multiple cases to verdict before juries. This experience honed her ability to navigate high-stakes litigation and provided valuable insight into how insurance companies and corporations approach their cases. She now applies that knowledge to anticipate defense strategies and advocate more effectively for the injured clients she represents at TAC.

Hala’s commitment to excellence and leadership in the legal field has been recognized both locally and statewide. She was named a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star by Thomson Reuters in 2024 and 2025- an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in the state. She was also selected for LeadershipSBOT, the Texas State Bar’s leadership program. In 2023, she was honored as one of UTEP’s “35 Under 35” Alumni for her professional achievements and community impact.

In both her personal and professional life, Hala continues to champion initiatives that empower others to lead, serve, and thrive.
