Mark Standridge, J.D., our firm’s new Senior Appellate Counsel, has more than 20 years of experience in the legal field, practicing at every level from local trial courts to the United States Supreme Court. Most recently, he served as District Court Judge at the Third Judicial District Court for the State of New Mexico. While there he managed about 1,200 family, domestic violence and civil cases. Standridge has also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, Criminal Division in their Las Cruces Office, as well as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Las Cruces. Standridge has published nearly a dozen articles in national and international law journals and organizational newsletters. He’s also presented at dozens of seminars and symposiums, including for the State Bar of New Mexico, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association. He’s a member of numerous professional associations and committees, and has served as chairman of the New Mexico State Bar Appellate Practice Section Board of Directors. Standridge was named to the Thomson Reuters Southwest Super Lawyers list five years in a row, as well as their Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in New Mexico and Arizona are selected to the exclusive Rising Stars list that recognizes the top young attorneys who demonstrate excellence early in their careers. And no more than 5 percent of lawyers in the Southwest are selected to the Super Lawyers list. Standridge is based out of our Las Cruces, NM office and is licensed to practice in Texas, New Mexico and Hawaii. He’s already played an important role at our firm by assisting in the recovery of millions for several of our clients. Standridge received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Arizona, graduating magna cum laude. He received his juris doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law, also graduating cum laude.
