Santa Teresa, New Mexico — A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pete Domenici Highway (NM 136) and Strauss Road in Santa Teresa injured three people on Tuesday and forced authorities to close the roadway while crews responded to the scene.

According to officials, the El Paso Fire Department’s Fire STAR helicopter airlifted one person with serious injuries. Meanwhile, emergency crews transported two other injured individuals to a local hospital for treatment. The crash occurred near the War Eagles Air Museum and involved three vehicles.

After the collision, the City of Sunland Park closed all lanes at the intersection so first responders could assist victims, clear debris, and investigate the crash.
