El Paso, Texas – A crash on I-10 Gateway East at Lee Trevino injured two people Friday afternoon. The El Paso Fire Department responded to the scene around 3:07 p.m. Paramedics transported one person to a local hospital with serious injuries. They also took another person to the hospital with minor injuries.
The El Paso Police Department closed the right lane of I-10 Gateway East at Lee Trevino while emergency crews assisted the victims and cleared the roadway. Police advised drivers to expect traffic delays in the area. Later that afternoon, officers reopened the right lane to traffic.
Investigators have not released the cause of the crash, and they continue to examine the circumstances. Authorities expect to provide additional updates as the investigation progresses.
