HOUSTON, Texas — A crash that occurred early Sunday morning in southwest Houston has left a motorcyclist dead. 

The accident happened around 4:30 am near Hillcroft in the 6300 block of Richmond Avenue. 

According to reports, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Richmond Avenue when it collided with a vehicle that was exiting a driveway. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they detained one person but later released the person after they determined that the person was not impaired at the time of the crash. 

The accident is still under investigation
