Truck Drivers Share Safety Concerns
Semi-truck driver Rudy Lopez Jr. told KFOX14 he usually avoids Transmountain because of its steep downgrade. He noted that a fully loaded semi cannot stop as quickly as a passenger car. Lopez urged drivers to give trucks more space on the road.
Transmountain has seen other semi-truck crashes this year. In late August, a semi crash near Desert South sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries. The current investigation is still ongoing.
